Stetson Allie

Stetson Allie, RF, Altoona – 7.14 RC

Stats: 9-for-20, 3 2B, HR, 1 BB, 9 K

Notes: The good news for Allie is that he’s hitting for power lately, with three doubles and a homer in the last week. The bad news is that he’s striking out in almost 50% of his at-bats. In fact, he only made two outs that weren’t strikeouts. That’s not just this week, as strikeouts have been an issue early in the season, with a 35.7% strikeout rate, way down from 26.1% last year. His walk rate has also been cut in half so far, from 14.6% to 7.1%. The power has stayed the same, which is good, but the walks and strikeouts need to trend the opposite direction from where they’re currently going.
