Jin-De Jhang, C, Bradenton – 7.58 RC

Stats: 11-for-22, 3 2B, 2 BB, 1 K

Notes: Jhang made the jump to Bradenton last year, getting an aggressive push over West Virginia so that he could get more time as a starter by getting ahead of Reese McGuire. Jhang struggled last year, and had to repeat the level, where he is now stuck behind McGuire. He’s making the best of his situation, off to a hot start at the plate by showing off the hitting skills that made him a prospect to watch two years ago. The most impressive thing here is that he has just one strikeout in 43 at-bats, while staying well over a .400 average in the early part of the season.
