Notes: Justin Wilson (0-1, 4.50) was off to a good start until the sixth inning, when he allowed two of his three home runs on the day, putting Louisville up 4-1 at the time. Wilson had much better results with his control, with just one walk, and 58 of his 87 pitches going for strikes. Dan Meyer (0.00) came on to pitch a shutout inning, allowing just one hit. Tony Watson (2.08) got the final two outs in the game.
The offense didn’t help Wilson much. Josh Harrison (.286) went 2-for-3 with a walk and a run. Andy Marte (.192) and Andrew Lambo (.179) each went 1-for-4 with a double. Wilson helped himself out with a double and an RBI, giving Indianapolis their first run in the fifth inning.

Notes: Altoona got another great start from Aaron Thompson (2-0, 0.75), leading to a 2-0 victory over the Richmond Flying Squirrels. Thompson, who allowed one run on one hit in six innings in his first start of the year, pitched six shutout innings tonight, allowing two hits, one walk, and striking out five. Combined, he has allowed one run on three hits in 12 innings this season, with a 7:2 K/BB ratio.
Jordy Mercer (.133) went 1-for-4 with his first homer of the 2011 season. Miles Durham (.074) and Quincy Latimore (.240) each had a double. Brad Chalk (.200) went 3-for-4. Starling Marte (.364) went 1-for-3 with his third stolen base of the 2011 season.

Notes: Bradenton held off a late comeback by Fort Myers to hold on to a one run victory. Jose Ascanio (10.13) got the start, making a rehab appearance. Ascanio pitched a shutout inning, allowing one hit. Quinton Miller (1-1, 15.95) came on next and pitched four innings, allowing four runs, three earned, on six hits, with two walks and two strikeouts. Miller got the win, thanks to the Bradenton offense. Duke Welker (6.23) allowed one run on two hits in an inning of work. Jhonathan Ramos (0.00) pitched two shutout innings, allowing a walk and a hit. Diego Moreno (5.40) gave up two runs in the ninth, before closing out the game for the save.
Aaron Baker (.476) led the offense, going 2-for-3 with a homer, his second of the year, and four RBIs. Robbie Grossman (.276) went 2-for-4 with two runs and two RBIs. David Rubinstein (.440) went 1-for-3 with a walk, a double, two runs, and an RBI.

Notes: Zac Fuesser (0.00) got the start for West Virginia, pitching four shutout innings, allowing two hits, two walks, and striking out five. Trent Stevenson (0-2, 10.38) took the loss, allowing four runs on five hits in two innings, with all four runs coming in the fifth inning. Jason Townsend (0.00) had an impressive outing, pitching two perfect innings with three strikeouts. The hard throwing Townsend, who normally has control issues, has now pitched four shutout innings, with no walks and seven strikeouts.
Dan Grovatt (.350) was pretty much the entire offense today. Grovatt went 3-for-4 with a double, a triple, and two runs scored. The only other West Virginia hitters that got a hit were Justin Howard (.353) and Gift Ngoepe (.188), who each went 1-for-3.
