Result: Akron 6, Altoona 5
Starting Pitcher: Aaron Pribanic (5.0 IP, 5 H, 3 R, 3 ER, 1 BB, 2 K, 1 HR)
Top Hitter: Jeremy Farrell (2-for-4, 2B, 3B, 3 RBI)
Notes: Altoona lost 6-5 to Akron, in a back and forth game. With Akron up 3-0 in the 6th, Jeremy Farrell (.350) led a four run inning for Altoona, hitting a two run triple to give Altoona a 4-3 lead. With runners at first and second, and one out, Holt fielded a grounder at second, and tried to go to second base with the throw, but threw wide due to his momentum. The throw allowed the tying run to score, and eventually extended the inning, allowing Akron to take a 6-4 lead. Starling Marte (.429), who went 3-for-5 on the day, tried to stage a comeback in the ninth. Marte led off the inning with a double, with Altoona down by a run. However, no one could bring him in to tie the score, and the Curve ended up losing 6-5.
