Lineups For Today’s Black & Gold Game

On Saturday afternoon, Clint Hurdle announced the pitchers for the Black & Gold exhibition game at McKechnie Field on Tuesday. The game is scheduled for seven innings and for those unfamiliar, it’s the Pirates vs the Pirates.

The pitchers for the Black team are:  Stolmy Pimentel, who will start and is scheduled to go two innings. He will be followed by Zack Thornton, Andy Oliver, Jay Jackson, Brandon Mann and Matt Benedict.

The Gold team will go with the following pitchers: Joely Rodriguez gets the starting assignment and the relievers will be Casey Sadler, Jake Brigham, Cody Eppley, Elvin Ramirez and Ryan Beckman

The lineups were released on Sunday morning.

Black Team

4. Matt Hague, 3B

6.  Nevin Ashley, C

John started working at Pirates Prospects in 2009, but his connection to the Pittsburgh Pirates started exactly 100 years earlier when Dots Miller debuted for the 1909 World Series champions.
