Francisco Liriano will get his second start for Indianapolis and his fourth start during this 30-day rehab stint. In his only start for Indy, Liriano threw 79 pitches over five innings, allowing one run on four hits and no walks, while picking up eight strikeouts. He got roughed up in his previous outing while with Altoona, giving up four runs in 2.2 innings. In his first rehab start for Bradenton, he threw three perfect innings, striking out six batters.

David Bromberg will get his second start for Altoona tonight. He has also pitched three times in relief. His first appearance this season was a start against Richmond on 4/15 at home. Bromberg went five innings, allowing two runs on four hits and two walks, with two strikeouts. In his three relief appearances, he has allowed six runs on eight hits and three walks over five innings. He has also picked up eight strikeouts over that time.

Adrian Sampson will make his fifth start of the year for Bradenton. In his last start, he gave up one run over 4.2 innings, though he did walk a season high three batters. He has pitched a total of 16.2 innings this season, giving up twenty hits, seven walks and he has 14 strikeouts. Sampson has gone five full innings just once this year, on 4/19 against Palm Beach when he struck out seven batters. He has a .299 BAA and a 0.67 GO/AO ratio, the lowest among all starters in the system.

West Virginia is off today. When they resume play on Wednesday, they will take on Greensboro at home, with Joely Rodriguez on the mound make his sixth start of the year. At 3-8, West Virginia is tied with Lakewood for the worst home record in the South Atlantic League. The Power are 3-7 in their last ten games. Stetson Allie leads the SAL with eight homers. He is two behind league leader Josh Bell with 26 RBI’s and he ranks fifth with his .351 batting average. Orlando Castro(1.67) and Tyler Glasnow(1.80) are sixth and eighth in the league in ERA.
