He also has a 17:5 K/BB ratio on the season. Vic Black has given up five earned runs this year. Four of them have come in his second inning of work in a multi-inning outing. A+: BRADENTON MARAUDERS
Result: Brevard County 6, Bradenton 1

Game Notes: Matt Benedict had a strong start in his last outing, but was hit around a lot tonight. He gave up four runs in the third inning, in large part to two gap shots. He later allowed a solo homer in the fifth inning. All of the big hits were a result of leaving the sinker up in the zone. Benedict said after the game that the sinker didn’t have as much sink, and had more fade tonight.
