Arizona Fall League Recap: 10/20

Three Pirates prospects started today, and Brian Leach made an appearance in the bullpen, as the Mesa Solar Sox lost 6-3:

-Josh Harrison (.185) started at second base, batting seventh.  Harrison went 1-for-4 with a strikeout and a fielding error.

-Andrew Lambo (.300) started in right field, batting fourth for the second straight game.  Lambo went 1-for-3 with an RBI single, a walk, a strikeout, and a caught stealing.  Lambo also committed a fielding error.

-Jordy Mercer (.286) was the designated hitter, batting fifth.  Mercer went 0-for-3 with a sacrifice fly RBI.

-Brian Leach (0.00) pitched an inning, allowing three runs, all unearned, on three hits, with one walk and no strikeouts.  Leach threw 24 pitches, 17 for strikes.  He also allowed a double to Bryce Harper for Harper’s first hit.

Mesa plays Scottsdale tomorrow at 12:35 PM MST/3:35 PM EST.
