Oscar Tejeda Outrighted to Altoona

Published:

Last week Oscar Tejeda was designated for assignment to make room on the 40-man roster for Jeff Clement. According to the MLB.com transactions page (h/t to MLBTR), Tejeda has cleared waivers and has been outrighted to Altoona.

Tejeda was claimed off of waivers earlier this year from the Boston Red Sox. He hit for a .242/.292/.364 line in 198 at-bats with Altoona, which was slightly worse than the numbers he was putting up with Boston’s Double-A affiliate.
