The DSL Pirates1 won the second round of their playoffs Thursday and will now go on to play the Angels in a best of five series for the DSL championship. That series starts today. Phil Irwin will get his fourth start for Indy tonight. He also made 16 starts and two relief appearances for Altoona and a rehab start for Bradenton to open up his season. Between all three stops, he is 7-7 2.73 in 125.1 innings, with 112 hits allowed, eight homers, 22 walks and 113 strikeouts. Phil also has a 1.53 GO/AO ratio and a .244 BAA. He has struck out 24 batters in 16 innings since reaching AAA. In his last start, Phil went six shutout innings, allowing three hits, two walks and he had seven strikeouts. He faced Louisville in his second start, allowing one run over six innings, with nine strikeouts.

Tyler Waldron will make his sixth start for Altoona tonight. He also made twenty starts and two relief appearances for Bradenton. Tyler has a 1.41 GO/AO ratio and a .298 BAA between both stops. In each of his last three starts, he has allowed one run, throwing a total of 17.2 innings in those outings. Casey Sadler will get the last start of the year for Bradenton. It is his 17th start, to go along with 15 relief outings. As a starter, Casey has a 4-3 4.05 record, allowing 77 hits, five homers and 27 walks in 86.2 innings. He has struck out 90 batters this year, with a 1.51 GO/AO ratio and a .247 BAA. Robby Rowland will make his last start of the season today, his 19th start on the year.
