Pirates and Casey McGehee Reach Pre-Arb Deal

The Pittsburgh Pirates and Casey McGehee have reached a pre-arbitration deal, per a team press release. The two sides had submitted figures and were set to have a hearing next week, although this deal prevents that hearing.

McGehee had submitted a figure of $2.725 M, while the Pirates submitted for $2.35 M. Terms of the agreement between the two sides aren’t known. The mid-point was $2,537,500.

UPDATE 10:44 AM: The two sides settled at the mid-point, per Rob Biertempfel. The 40-man roster/payroll page has been updated.
