The Bradenton Marauders have activated 19-year-old outfielder Shalin Polanco off of the 7-day injured list. He suffered a minor shoulder injury at the end of Spring Training, after diving for a ball in the outfield. He missed the first five games of the season.
Polanco was the top international signing for the Pirates at 16 years old in January of 2021. He received a $2.35M bonus. He debuted in the Dominican Summer League in 2021, where he put up a .204/.284/.338 slash line in 47 games. He moved up to the Florida Complex League in 2022, where he improved to a .250/.324/.371 slash line in 37 games.
To make room on the Bradenton roster, catcher Nick Cimillo was moved to the Development List. He went 1-for-4 with a walk in two games.
If any other moves are made today, we will add them here.
