Duane Underwood Jr helped Puerto Rico to a 9-1 win over Nicaragua by throwing a scoreless inning, with no hits or walks, and one strikeout.
Team USA took on Great Britain. David Bednar closed out the 6-2 win for USA with a scoreless ninth. He allowed a hit, but struck out three batters. Chavez Young started for Great Britain. He went 1-for-4 with a single.
Tsung-Che Cheng went 0-for-3 with a walk, leaving him 5-for-15 in four games. Chinese Taipei lost 7-1 to Cuba.
Colombia beat Mexico 5-4. Venezuela won 5-1 over the Dominican Republic. Korea won 7-3 over Czech Republic.
