Winter Leagues: Extra-Base Hits for Rodriguez, Lopez and Peguero

Here’s a look at Tuesday’s action in winter ball for the active Pittsburgh Pirates players. You will find Wednesday’s recap below. Videos are below for all three hits mentioned in the title.

In the Dominican, Endy Rodriguez went 1-for-5 with a double and an RBI. He struck out three times. He’s hitting .250 with a .586 OPS in the very early part of the winter season.

Liover Peguero went 1-for-6 with a double and an RBI. He has a .150 average and a .540 OPS so far in the first week of action.

Dariel Lopez went 1-for-3 with a triple, run scored and RBI. He left for a pinch-hitter late, then the game went into extra innings, so he missed out on three at-bats. He committed two errors at third base.

In Mexico, Fabricio Macias went 0-for-3 with a sacrifice bunt in his team’s 2-0 win.

Jared Oliva went 1-for-4 with a single. He’s hitting .423 in seven games.

Oneil Cruz is scheduled to start in the Dominican on November 1st. Diego Castillo is scheduled to start that same day in Venezuela.
