Adolfo Oviedo got the start and allowed two runs in three innings, with five hits and no walks or strikeouts. Reliever Greiber Mendez allowed one run in three innings and that was unearned. Hader Blanco tossed a scoreless seventh for his first career save in the 6-3 victory. The Pirates scored first in the first on a Daje Morales single. In the fifth, Delfin Ramirez and Isaac Paulino had RBI singles. A ground out in the seventh by Kelvin Diaz made it 4-3, then Robert De Paula doubled in two runs, with the second scoring on the play to get De Paula for the out between second and third.

The Pirates Gold already have a playoff spot, but they continued to win on Monday, moving to 37-15 with a 2-1 victory in the seven-inning contest. Starter Victor Cabreja allowed the one run and left trailing in the game, then relievers Wilkin Valdez and Wilbur Martinez tossed three no-hit innings with five strikeouts. In the fifth inning, catcher Lennyn Nunez doubled. Two outs later, he moved to third base on a wild pitch, then scored on a single by Juan Machado.
