Indianapolis won an 11-8 game on Sunday. Jerad Eickhoff gave up five runs in 3.2 innings. After Cam Alldred got the final out of the fourth, Nick Mears got knocked out of the fifth with just one out, though he only have up one run. Noe Toribio gave up two runs in 2.2 innings. Eric Hanhold retired all six batters he faced on ground outs. Indianapolis scored first on a Jamie Ritchie single in the second. Drew Maggi doubled home a run in the fourth. Diego Castillo singled in two runs in the fifth. A ground out , wild pitch and error each scored one run in the sixth. Ritchie singled in a run in the seventh. Hoy Park and Jared Oliva picked up the last two RBIs on outs. Travis Swaggerty walked four times and stole his 11th base. Oliva doubled twice (13 on the season) and stole his 14th base.

Altoona couldn’t match the road output from the rest of the system today, losing 6-4. Aaron Shortridge got the start and allowed two runs, one earned. Cristofer Melendez and Nick Dombkowski each allowed two runs, while Austin Roberts and Bear Bellomy threw shutout ball. Aaron Shackelford and Liover Peguero provided the offense. Shackelford had a single, his 18th double, 19th homer, three RBIs and a walk, as well as his eighth stolen base. He was 0-for-17 with ten strikeouts this week before Sunday’s game. Peguero had two singles, a walk and three runs scored. The rest of the team combined for two singles in 27 at-bats.

Greensboro won a slugfest 11-7, despite the fact that they didn’t hit any homers. Sean Sullivan started and allowed three unearned runs in three innings. Jack Carey allowed one run in three innings, then Santiago Florez gave up two runs while recording one out. Eddy Yean followed with one run in 1.2 innings, and Cameron Junker tossed a scoreless ninth. Greensboro had just one run in the first five innings, scoring on an error on a pick-off throw. In the sixth, Jackson Glenn hit a bases loaded double. Dariel Lopez had a two-run single in the seventh, followed soon after by a bases loaded walk to Luke Brown. Jacob Gonzalez doubled in a run in the eighth. Francisco Acuna had an RBI double in the ninth, then after a wild pitch scored a run, Yoyner Fajardo tripled in the 11th run. Lopez and Fajardo each had three hits. Acuna, Glenn, Gonzalez and Eli Wilson each had two hits.

Po-Yu Chen had a rough outing due to two homers. He gave up five earned over 4.2 innings. He struck out six, giving him 92 strikeouts in 83.2 innings. Sergio Umana recorded the final out in the fifth, then Carlos Campos gave up three runs in 1.2 innings. Johan Montero allowed a run in 1.2 innings. Mitchell Miller record two outs without a run. Carlos Lomeli allowed one unearned run in three innings, as Bradenton won 12-10 in 12 innings. The Marauders scored two runs in the first on a Jase Bowen single. He came into the game leading the league with 64 RBIs. Sergio Campana doubled in two runs in the second. Tsung-Che Cheng had an RBI single in the fourth. Juan Jerez hit a three-run homer in the seventh, his fifth homer. Bubba Chandler tripled and scored on a wild pitch after the Jerez homer. In the 11th, Bradenton scored again on a wild pitch. A passed ball scored a run in the 12th, then Jack Brannigan doubled in a run.
