Starting Pitcher: Jonathan Salazar (0-3, 3.91)
- Final Line: 0.2 IP, 3 H, 5 R, 5 ER, 1 BB, 1 SO
Notable Performances:
Ewry Espinal 0-for-3, 2 BB

Rodolfo De La Cruz 1-for-3, HR, 3 RBI, BB
Game Recap:
A perfect summary for this game is starter Jonathan Salazar threw six wild pitches in the first inning. For reference, the MLB record is five for an inning by one player and it happened once in 1890. Five is also the team record for an inning. To make matters worse, the first pitch after Salazar was pulled was a wild pitch by Luis Brito. Five runs scored that inning, then Brito allowed four runs over four innings. Juan Fuentes gave up five runs, but all of his were unearned in the 15-6 loss. The Pirates got an RBI single from Angel Rodriguez. Miguel Sosa’s seventh double drove in two runs, one of three hits he had on the day. Rodolfo De La Cruz hit a three-run homer, his third of the season. Daje Morales stole his 11th base.
