Pirates Discussion: Division Battle in Milwaukee

Published:

For a moment, it looked like the Pittsburgh Pirates might take a winning streak into Milwaukee this weekend. Alas, it was not meant to be.

We’re officially past the halfway point, and at the point of the season where it seems to drag on.

Fortunately, we’re a little over a week away from the draft. For those looking forward to it.

There is also just under four weeks until the trade deadline, August 2nd.

There will likely be a lot of roster movement in the coming days and weeks. Roansy Contreras was optioned on Thursday. Kevin Newman and Jake Marisnick are likely to join the team soon. Greg Allen finally started a rehab assignment. This all after Ben Gamel and Yoshi Tsutsugo recently rejoined the team.
