There wasn’t enough from Friday night for an article, so here’s a recap from the last two nights.
Friday
In Colombia, Tsung-Che Cheng went 0-for-3 with a walk.
Francisco Acuna started playing this week. I missed his debut because his name is spelled wrong on the site. He went 0-for-4 in this game with two runs scored. He was recently traded in the league (along with Santiago Florez) and debuted after the trade. Florez has not played yet. Acuna split 2021 between Greensboro and Bradenton, playing above short-season ball for the first time. He hit just .184 in 70 games, though he had a nice OBP (.335) due to 34 walks and 14 HBP. His .689 OPS in 39 games with Bradenton was slightly below league average.
In Mexico, Jared Oliva went 1-for-4 with an RBI single.
In Puerto Rico, free agent Oddy Nunez got the start and he went 1.2 innings, allowing one run on two hits, with one walk and one strikeout. He has allowed three runs over three innings in three appearances.
Saturday
In Mexico, Randy Romero went 2-for-4 with a run scored and his 13th stolen base. He’s now has a .299 average and a .710 OPS in 56 games.
Jared Oliva went 1-for-5 with a single and three strikeouts. He’s hitting .253 with a .693 OPS in 21 games.
In Colombia, Tsung-Che Cheng went 2-for-5 with a triple and run scored. In 17 games, he has a .262/.338/.377 slash line.
Francisco Acuna went 2-for-5 with a run scored and an RBI. He is 4-for-19 with three runs, three walks and an RBI.
