In the Dominican on Sunday, Jason Rogers hit his first homer of the winter. It came off of Angel Castro, a veteran pitcher (mostly in Mexico), who spent part of 2015 with the Oakland A’s. In his next plate appearances, Rogers was intentionally walked by former Pirate Cesilio Pimentel. Rogers started in left field for the second straight game and finished the day 1-for-2 with two walks. He is 5-for-22 through seven games, with seven walks.
Alen Hanson went 1-for-3 with a single and a run scored. He is 6-for-14 at the plate in four game since returning from his wrist injury. He was 1-for-15 through four games when he got injured. Hanson has played all eight games at second base.
Eric Wood went 0-for-3 with a walk, dropping him down to a .205 average through 22 games. He has drawn 14 walks, while connecting on three doubles and two homers.
Willy Garcia played center field and went 0-for-4 with an RBI and two strikeouts. His average dropped down to .200 through 50 at-bats, and he has struck out 16 times.
Eury Perez went 2-for-4 with two singles, two runs scored, and an RBI. He’s batting .208 through 31 games, with most of those games coming off the bench. Perez split this game between left field and right field for the second day in a row.
In Venezuela, Jose Osuna went 0-for-2 with three walks and a run scored. It broke a six-game hit streak, though he still has a 15-game on base streak going.
Elvis Escobar went 0-for-4 in his second start back from a lower left leg injury that had him out for 18 days.

In Australia, Sam Kennelly had his best game of the season. He started at second base for the third time this winter and went 2-for-2 with a walk and hit-by-pitch, reaching base in all four plate appearances. Kennelly scored a run and stole his first base of the season. In 18 games this winter, with 15 coming as a third baseman, he is hitting .192/.333/.192 through 63 plate appearances.
In Colombia, Henrry Rosario is hitting .230/.374/.299 through 109 plate appearances.
In Nicaragua, Anderson Feliz is batting .316/.393/.493 through 35 games, with 11 doubles, two triples and four homers.
In Puerto Rico, Danny Ortiz went 1-for-3 with a walk. He is hitting .378/.423/.495 through 29 games, leading the league in average, slugging and OPS. Ortiz is still a free agent.
