BRADENTON, Fla. – Last night, the Bradenton Marauders won the 2016 Florida State League Championship. For a full recap of the game, along with video of the final inning and the final out, check out the Prospect Watch from last night. I also talked about the team in First Pitch last night, looking at the players from the 2016 roster who could go on and play in the majors.
As additional coverage, here is some video from last night, courtesy the Bradenton Marauders.
The first video includes some highlights and Nate March’s radio call of the final out of the game.

The next video includes the final out and the celebration, both on the field and in the clubhouse.

Here is the interview we conducted with manager Michael Ryan, obviously following that clubhouse celebration.

And finally, here is the interview with last night’s starter, JT Brubaker, on his outing.

Finally, as an added note I didn’t get to work this in to the story last night, but during the on-field celebration I spotted Stephen Tarpley waiting by the third base line, with several players going over and giving him a hug, with Tarpley offering his congratulations. Tarpley was obviously traded to the Yankees at the end of the year (30 minutes before a start he was scheduled to make for the Marauders, actually), and was a big part of their first half success, which got them to the playoffs. I didn’t see if Tito Polo met up with his former teammates as well, although that could have happened at another point in the celebration. Here is Tarpley with a few of the Marauders’ pitchers.
