Pirates Sign Two More International Hitters to Six Figure Deals

Published:

The Pirates have signed two more players to six figure deals, inking outfielder Kevin Sanchez and catcher Samuel Inoa. Sanchez receives $450,000, which is the biggest amount so far this year, and likely to be their biggest signing. Inoa got $240,000.

Both signings were expected. Ben Badler linked the Pirates to both players, noting that both would be getting six figure deals. John Dreker had the following information on each player.

Sanchez is apparently extremely fast, as in a plus-plus runner. Inoa is apparently the opposite when it comes to running, but he has real good opposite field power. I’m sure there will be better reports on them tomorrow, but that’s the information I got from someone who has watched them play.

The Pirates have now signed four players that we know about, with $1,040,000 spent out of their $2,111,900 bonus pool.
