Game Notes: Clayton Richard continued his strong run as of late for Indianapolis on Monday night. Richard allowed an unearned run, but he has yet to allow an earned run in his last three starts. While working with some downward movement, Richard picked up 12 ground ball outs, as opposed to four fly ball outs. With the strong outing, Richard lowered his season ERA to 1.69 with Indianapolis.

Game Notes: Altoona got three homers on Monday night, one coming from a very unlikely source. Adam Frazier hit his first homer of the season and second as a pro in his 787th at-bat. He scored three runs and drove in three as well. Frazier has a .352/.403/.451 slash line in 23 games this season. Max Moroff hit his third homer of the year and Jose Osuna continued his hot streak since being promoted, hitting a double and a homer. He is 13-for-31 in eight games with Altoona.
Matt Benedict threw six solid innings and Jeff Inman continued his solid season with his tenth straight scoreless outing to begin the year. He has thrown a total of 10.1 innings, with seven hits, three walks and nine strikeouts.

Game Notes: Cody Dickson had a disastrous first inning, allowing five runs on seven hits. He then threw five shutout innings the rest of the way, giving up just three hits and a walk. Dickson was coming off a poor start, so he’s having a rough June. His ERA rose to 4.58 on the season.
The offense was quiet, with just six hits and a walk in the game. The team was 0-for-6 with runners in scoring postition. Wyatt Mathisen and Harold Ramirez both had two hits, including a double. Ramirez is hitting .429 and has hits in 11 of his 12 games this season. JaCoby Jones stole his tenth base of the year.

Game Notes: The Pirates lost for the fifth straight game on Monday, with starter Miguel Hernandez giving up seven runs in his second start of the season. Top prospect Yondry Contreras had a double, two walks and drove in two runs. He is hitting .333 in his first seven pro games, with five doubles, four walks and a homer. Mikell Granberry drove in his seventh run of the season. Shortstop Melvin Jimenez extended his hit streak to eight games with his third double of the season. Pitcher Oddy Nunez, a 6’5″, 18-year-old lefty, threw 2.1 shutout innings in his pro debut.
