Game Notes: Indianapolis faced some tough pitchers on Monday and walked away with the victory. The first three pitchers that Buffalo sent out were Randy Wolf, Chad Jenkins and Jeff Francis, who have a combined 595 starts and 675 appearances in the big leagues. Wolf ended up allowing all the damage, as the Indians put up two runs in first, two in the second and four in the third, knocking him out early. A rain delay seemed to knock the wind out of both teams, as there was no scoring after the fourth inning. Brent Morel had four hits and drove in two runs. Tony Sanchez also knocked in a pair. Elias Diaz was the only player in the lineup that didn’t contribute at least one run or RBI and he still had a single and a walk.

Game Notes: The Altoona bats had a field day on Monday, collecting nine runs on 18 hits, including three homers. Dan Gamache had five hits, four singles and his second homer of the season. Since going 3-for-38 through May 6th, Gamache has exploded at the plate, raising his average 225 points by going 21-for-41 the last 19 days. Keon Broxton had four hits and a walk today, after collecting three hits and a walk on Sunday. He hit his second homer of the season and stole his 11th base. Stetson Allie hit his seventh homer of the season, though he is still hitting .201 this year with 45 strikeouts. Adam Frazier played third base for the first time in his pro career and collected three hits.
Lost in the big offense was a solid outing from Jason Creasy, who allowed three runs over six innings, with single runs coming in three different frames. He threw 75 pitches in the game, 45 for strikes. Creasy has a 2.82 ERA in 51 innings this year.

Game Notes: Lefty Stephen Tarpley made his 2015 debut and allowed one run over five innings, helping West Virginia to their fourth straight win. He gave up five hits, walked two batters and the only run scored on a bases loaded wild pitch. Tarpley had three strikeouts and hit 94 MPH in the first inning. All three strikeouts were swinging, one on a curve. Of the five hits, just one was hit hard, a third inning double. Two were bunt hits and another was an infield hit that Pablo Reyes had trouble on and could have been scored an error, but it was slowly hit. The other was a soft liner into center field that fell in front of Tito Polo
Pablo Reyes had two doubles, giving him ten on the season. He also stole his 11th base of the year. Jerrick Suiter played his first game in four weeks and had a two-run single in the sixth inning that gave the Power the lead for good. Michael Suchy drew three walks and scored a run. Tito Polo had an RBI single and scored a run. Elvis Escobar had two hits, including his ninth double. He also drove in a run.
