Sammy Siani picked up two hits in the Arizona Fall League on Saturday.
Playing in his third game in the AFL, Siani went 2-for-3 with a double. The outfielder, who was drafted out of the prep ranks in the late first round in 2019, hit for a .693 OPS in Altoona. That included an .812 OPS in August as Siani finished strong.
So far in the AFL, Siani has played three games, and has a hit in each contest. He homered in his AFL debut, singled on Thursday, and had the two hit game on Saturday.
Siani singled in the second inning, but did not score. His double led off the bottom of the sixth inning, leading to the eighth run of the night for Scottsdale. Three other Pirates prospects got in the action in Saturday’s win.
