Sammy Siani had another multi-hit game in the Arizona Fall League.
The Pittsburgh Pirates outfield prospect went 2-for-4 with a walk, knocking in three runs in Scottsdale’s 10-6 win on Wednesday. Siani is now hitting .404 with a .983 OPS in 51 plate appearances during the AFL season.
Siani grounded into a double play in the first inning, which knocked in the first run of the game, but didn’t lead to one of his RBIs. After walking in the third, he picked up his first hit of the game in the fifth, hitting a two RBI single to make it 6-2. He scored on a triple. The final hit from Siani came in the sixth inning, when he singled in the tenth run of the game.
There was an error in the field for Siani in the fourth inning, which allowed a runner to advance, but didn’t lead to a run. It was the first error of the AFL season for Siani, who has otherwise provided positive defensive value to go with the consistent hitting he’s shown.
