Welcome to the Pirates Prospects daily video rundown, where we pull some of the top videos of the Pittsburgh Pirates across the internet.
Yordany De Los Santos
One of the Pirates big international amateur free agent signings from a couple years back, De Los Santos has found his way into a couple of Major League spring training games during the last couple of days.
Yordany De los Santos has found his way into a couple of games lately. He made a couple plays at shortstop on Monday, while going 0-2 at the plate. He did hit a ball 101 mph off the bat. He is just built like a ball player and he's EIGHTEEN YEARS OLD #Pirates pic.twitter.com/UoLEd1HrQb

He certainly has the frame to be a major leaguer, it will be about filling out and getting experience.
Connor Scott
It’s another season, so means another opportunity to see Connor Scott make some great plays in the outfield.
OH MY @connorscott24! 😱 pic.twitter.com/X7pqjKQzSB

Playing in Altoona last year, he was no stranger to coming up with a big grab in key situations.
Maikol Escotto
There’s a lot of power in the bat of Escotto, as evident by this three-run home run that registered an exit velocity of 104.2.
Maikol Escotto picks up a BIG three-run home run in Monday's spring training game. He has some raw power, just needs to make more consistent contact. #Pirates pic.twitter.com/Bvv4mawINw

Anthony began writing over 10 years ago, starting a personal blog to cover the 2011 MLB draft, where the Pirates selected first overall. After bouncing around many websites covering hockey, he refocused his attention to baseball, his first love when it comes to sports. He eventually found himself here at Pirates Prospects in late 2021, where he covers the team’s four full season minor league affiliates.
Does conner scott remind you of a guy who cones out of no where and finishes third in Roy voting.happen every year.
No, he looks like a 5th OF.
Escotto looks bigger than what I remember, oppo power is real power. Actually Ben got some talent for 2 years of Jamison tallion.
Yordanny looks like what they wanted Erik to be
Escotto was in his age 19/20 year at A and A+ and struggled with contact especially at A+, but his fielding at SS and 2B was between VG and excellent, even getting better at A+. The Pirates are loaded at MI at the lower levels with Maikol Escotto, Javier Rivas, and YDLS.
Although I like these guys, and Liover Peguero, BC could go a long way if he can get Cruz to agree to a contract containing a 1 or 2 year extension beyond the basic 6 years.
