Welcome to the Pirates Prospects daily video rundown, where we pull some of the top videos of the Pittsburgh Pirates across the internet.

Regardless of his contract situation, Reynolds is still at work preparing for the 2023 season. Here he is facing Mitch Keller, putting the ball in play.
Roansy Contreras Bullpen
Entering year two, this will also be Contreras’ first full season in the rotation at the major league level. He joins potential reliever candidates Yohan Ramirez and Duane Underwood Jr. in a bullpen session.

More Endy Rodriguez/Henry Davis
Two of the top hitting prospects in the system, there has been a lot of talk about how exactly a defensive platoon would look like behind the plate should they both stick at catcher.

We catch a glimpse on them working on throwing runners out at second. Endy threw out 31.18% of would be base stealers, while Davis struggled a bit more despite the high grade on his arm — finishing with a 12.82 CS%.
Oneil Cruz
Just because it’s always a treat to watch Oneil Cruz play baseball, here’s some of him working in the field and at the plate.
Pirates SS Oneil Cruz is such a gifted athlete, there’s nothing he doesn’t do exceptionally well. Look at how little effort he uses to hit the ball upward and far, it’s amazing at what he gets out of his skills. #superstar pic.twitter.com/2g4fDlWB1l

Dylan Crews Opening Weekend
The Pirates will pick first overall for the second time in the last three years in 2023, and one of the options is LSU outfielder Dylan Crews, who had a strong opening weekend against Western Michigan.
Anthony began writing over 10 years ago, starting a personal blog to cover the 2011 MLB draft, where the Pirates selected first overall. After bouncing around many websites covering hockey, he refocused his attention to baseball, his first love when it comes to sports. He eventually found himself here at Pirates Prospects in late 2021, where he covers the team’s four full season minor league affiliates.
Loving that ‘stash on Crews. Looks like he could have a bit of agitator to him.
It seems like it would be distracting throwing a bullpen right next to another guy.
I love the videos the Pirates bullpen catcher posted yesterday of Endy and Delay too.

The best part of any video I’ve seen so far, Cruz not double, triple pumping before his throws.
P.S. is it clutching? My EsL mind forgets words like those!
For some reason, I get the feeling that AM is a big Crews fan!😂😂😂
Endy is quick compact and fluid, no wasted motion. Davis has some things to work on ,or maybe the arm can make up for the the time it takes him to release the ball.
I still think, despite his arm, and despite Endy’s versatility, Davis will be the one to move off of catcher. First base is still my first option. RF is second…he could be another Doumit with that arm.
I don’t think a scenario exists with Endy moving off C.
I hope so!
