This weekend, Pirates Prospects will be down for maintenance and a site upgrade. The site will be offline all day Saturday, and will return with a new look on Sunday.
A year ago at this time, I was planning out the new approach for this site, with ideas for a concept called “article drops”, along with a new approach to daily coverage. I couldn’t have explained any of that at this point last year, but the results have been seen through our P2Daily coverage and our Tuesday article drops during the 2022 season.
This weekend, the site will get an upgrade to better display and feature the new approach. We will have a section for our P2Daily content, a section for our new P2Weekly schedule, and updates on the long awaited 2022-23 Prospect Guide.
This time around, I’ll be able to explain what’s coming in 2023, rather than making you wait to see the changes. Look for that announcement in First Pitch on Monday. Our article drops resume on Tuesday with our yearly minor league awards.
We will have Ethan Hullihen’s weekly payroll updates today, along with our normal daily coverage.
