He gave up two runs, but both were unearned. He struck out nine batters. John O’Reilly tossed a scoreless seventh before allowing three runs in the eighth for the loss. The Indians scored a run in the sixth on a Bligh Madris single. Mason Martin hit a solo homer in the seventh, his 17th of the season, as part of a three-hit night. Ji-hwan Bae brought in a run with his 20th double. Blake Sabol hit a solo homer, his second for Indianapolis. The Indians had one walk and 12 strikeouts, with all nine starters contributing to the air show. (UPDATE: At some point after the game was over, a hit in the boxscore attributed to Ortiz’s line was changed to a fielder’s choice, switching this to six no-hit innings)
