The Indianapolis Indians were off on Sunday, so we take a look back at the performance by Cody Bolton earlier in the week. They’ve been fairly cautious with Bolton this season, since he hasn’t pitched since 2019.
A week ago on the 19th, Bolton pitched three innings against St. Paul, allowing just two hits while striking out five batters.

Bolton went slider heavy, generating seven swing and misses in just three innings pitched.

Ortiz made his third start at the major league level on Sunday, pitching 4 2/3 innings while allowing one hit, one run, a walk and seven strikeouts.
He’s already making a name for himself out there with the high velocity and movement on his fastball, and Sunday’s start he made several appearances on ‘Pitching Ninja’.

He flashes his slider to get a swing and a miss for a strikeout. Ortiz recorded a pair of immaculate innings during his time in Altoona, and he came one pitch away from picking up his first at the major league level.

Finally some more of his heat, as he blows away Ian Happ with a fastball that touched triple digits on it.
