Welcome to the Pirates Prospects daily video rundown, where we pull some of the top videos of the Pittsburgh Pirates across the internet.
Daily Video Rundown
Kyle Nicolas
Nicolas has had an up and down year. He’s dealt with a little bit of injury problems, and has struggled to find consistency on the mound. He started on Friday and looked like he was on his way to a great outing, but rain delayed the game long enough he was pulled after two innings.
In those two innings he struck out the last four batters he faced. Here’s a look at his entire outing.
Roansy Contreras
After the Pirates shut Contreras down around the All-Star to give him a break, they sent him to Indianapolis to stretch back out, and he’s looked exactly as you would expect someone who was pitching well in the majors. In four innings, Contreras struck out nine batters, allowing just one run in the process.
Assuming you wanted to see @ContrerasRoansy run point tonight.
Blake Sabol
There wasn’t much offense in Friday’s Altoona game, in fact all three runs came in the ninth inning. Altoona scored two of those, the last one on this Sabol sacrifice fly.

Jared Triolo
Two batters before Sabol’s walk-off, Jared Triolo tied the game up with a RBI triple. He would later score on a sacrifice fly by Sabol.

Mason Martin
Martin is slowly starting to pick up some big hits here and there. He hit a walk-off single earlier in the week, and drives in another run with this double on Friday.
.@masonmartin7 gripped it and ripped it.
Malcom Nunez
I did a breakdown of Nunez on Friday, looking at the success he’s had throughout the year. Here’s a look at an entire series he played in at home, where he hit four home runs.
