Pirates DVR: Travis Swaggerty and Aaron Shackelford Home Runs, Matt Fraizer RBI

Welcome to the Pirates Prospects daily video rundown, where we pull some of the top videos of the Pittsburgh Pirates across the internet.

Daily Video Rundown

Travis Swaggerty

Swaggety continues his strong season with Indianapolis, hitting his seventh home run of the year. The outfielder now owns a slash of .270/.342/.445 and is two home runs short of his career high that he reached in 2019 while with the Bradenton Marauders.

Aaron Shackelford

Shackelford extended his team lead in home runs, slugging his 13th of the season for Altoona. The former 14th round pick by the Pirates is slugging .508 and has driven in 43 on the season — three of which came on this home run.

Matt Fraizer

It’s very early into July but it feels like if there is any month for Matt Fraizer to put things together, this might be it. He has hits in three of the four games he’s played in July, and picked up his third three-hit game of the season on Wednesday.

Sergio Umana

The righty has had a great start to the season, posting a 0.90 ERA in 20 innings pitched this year for Bradenton. He was featured this past Tuesday, breaking down his strong start to the season. Here’s a full look at some of his outings over the season, including the five shutout inning start he had last week.

Is Umana our version of Cubs’ RH Kyle Hendricks. Maybe is more like Zach Davies!

One can hope. A pitcher with a big-time cambio.

My never ending effort to find a good package for Reynolds and find Swaggerty playing time!

I feel like this is an easy yes

The good news is that this sort of problem is going to come up repeatedly. That’s also the bad news. It’s devastating when a favorite player leaves.

Glad that Swaggerty is in Indy getting consistent reps.

Kid encouraging Swaggerty is precious.

Was that produced or did it actually happen? If it did that was awesome!

That was Anthony. 😉

Surely Anthony’s voice has changed by now. I used to be a boy soprano, so I am sensitive to this.

I sang Alto in 7th grade chorus. 1st degree was as a voice major, I’d dropped to bass 😀
