Game Recap:

Aaron Shortridge made his second rehab start with Bradenton, during his first week back on the mound since 2019. He was impressive with the results in both games, going three shutout innings for the second time. This time on one hit, one walk and four strikeouts, while throwing 30 of 41 pitches for strikes. Brennan Malone followed with his first appearance for Bradenton. He pitched for the FCL Pirates earlier this week. He went two innings, allowing a run on two hits, one walk and three strikeouts in two innings. However, he showed off some impressive stuff with his four-pitch mix, so he should do better as he knocks off some rust. Jake Sweeney followed with three shutout/no-hit innings, then Yunior Thibo closed out the win with a scoreless ninth.

The Marauders got on the board first with Sergio Campana’s second homer, a solo shot. Luke Brown singled in Campana with the second run. Jase Bowen made it 3-1 with a fifth inning single. Wyatt Hendrie made it 4-1 with a single, then Luke Brown followed with a two-run single, as Bradenton won 6-1. Bowen had two hits and two steals, giving him 12 pilfers on the season. Campana scored three runs.
