Welcome to the Pirates Prospects daily video rundown, where we pull some of the top videos of the Pittsburgh Pirates across the internet.
Daily Video Rundown
Jack Suwinski
It’s crazy how one swing can completely shift the entire narrative of a game. Up to Jack Suwinski’s final swing of the bat, the Pirates’ offense was helpless and in position to hand Roansy Contreras a 1-0 loss on an unearned run.

On a team that has struggled to find consistent power in their lineup, Suwinski has provided it in his time with the Pirates. After Saturday’s walk-off, Suwinski sits in a tie with Daniel Vogelbach for second on the team in home runs.

Roansy Contreras
While it was the Suwinski walk-off home run that sent the fans home happy, it was another performance by Contreras that will be the talk of the town.
The team’s top pitching prospect pitched 5 2/3 innings, allowed four hits, an unearned run, while walking two and striking out eight.
Roansy Contreras had his good stuff today.

He’s been everything the Pirates had hoped for, and then some, early on in his career.
Oneil Cruz

Quite the way to open a game, as Oneil Cruz didn’t wait long to get things going. With a flick of the wrist the shortstop sent the baseball over the left center field wall for his eighth home run of the season.
Matt Gorski
An Insurance Run, This is.@matthew_gorski7 has his second RBI of the game and we lead it 5-3!

While he isn’t putting up the insane video game home run numbers in Altoona, Gorski does own a .324 average in 10 games since being promoted to Double-A. He picked up two more hits, both RBI knocks, in the Curve’s win.
Blake Sabol
Maybe no one has capitalized on an opportunity presented to them more than Blake Sabol. He continues to mash the ball while being the go-to catcher in Double-A.
Blast it, Blake! @Blake_Sabol24 hits his third triple of the season to get us on the board in the first inning! pic.twitter.com/nSNcoAAZoV
— Altoona Curve (@AltoonaCurve) June 4, 2022
He got the scoring underway with a RBI triple in the first inning and later hit one to left center with ease, his sixth home run of the season.
. @Blake_Sabol24 just sent this baseball to a galaxy far far away! His sixth homer of the season gives us a 4-0 lead!
