Pirates Place Henry Davis on the IL, Jack Hartman Joins Bradenton

Published:

The Pittsburgh Pirates have placed catching prospect Henry Davis on the 7-day injured list in Altoona with a left wrist injury. Davis has been dealing with a bone bruise, and missed the last several games.

Anthony Murphy wrote about Davis today. In that article, Anthony noted that while Davis does get hit by a lot of pitches, it doesn’t look like a hit-by-pitch was the reason for this injury. Davis also missed time in Greensboro last year with an oblique injury.

At this point, Davis has been out for almost a week, so hopefully this is only a temporary assignment for the top prospect.

**The Pirates also added right-hander Jack Hartman to the Bradenton roster. Hartman missed the 2021 season after Tommy John surgery. Hartman was drafted in the 4th round of the 2020 draft out of Appalachian State.
