Pirates DVR: Mike Jarvis, Brendt Citta, Nick Gonzales

Welcome to the Pirates Prospects daily video rundown, where we pull some of the top videos of the Pittsburgh Pirates across the internet.

Daily Video Rundown

Mike Jarvis

It was another rough night offensively for the Bradenton Marauders, only scoring two runs in their loss to Fort Myers. One of those two runs came at the hands of Mike Jarvis, who hit his first home run of the season.

The sixth round pick last year out of San Diego State has a slash of .253/.321/.384 with eight extra-base hits now and also seven stolen bases.

Nick Gonzales

After an awful to the season, Nick Gonzales is slowly finding his rhythm with Altoona. The strikeouts are still a little concerning, and he isn’t hitting for the power you would like, but he’s batting .277 this month after going .217 in April.

Here he drives in a run to make the score 4-0 in favor of the Curve.

Brendt Citta

Brendt Citta now has hits in five of his last seven games, two of his have gone for extra-bases. He drills this double for the Curve.

Brad Case

Brad Case picked up his first save this season with Altoona after pitching the final three frames, allowing just a hit and striking out five batters. He struck out the side in the seventh inning after coming into the game.

Oneil Cruz

Oneil Cruz crushed his sixth home run of the season, and got his batting average over the Mendoza line recently. Whatever you want to say about his approach, you’ll never see him get ‘a little bit of it’.
