Daily Video Rundown

Rodolfo Castro

The bats came alive for the Indianapolis Indians on Tuesday, hammering home 15 runs in their win against Charlotte. Four of those came from a single swing of the bat by Rodolfo Castro, his second home run of the season.

Castro now has nine extra-base hits, 12 RBIs and owns a batting line of .250/.397/.402.

Henry Davis

The first overall pick from the 2021 draft, Henry Davis began the year with the Greensboro Grasshoppers but it didn’t take long for him to master the level. In 22 games at High-A, Davis hit five home runs, drove in 22 runs, and posted a 1.035 OPS.

It didn’t take him long to make an impact after getting promoted to Double-A Altoona.

Davis went 1-for-2 on the night, walking and getting hit by a pitch, as well as hitting a two-run home run.

Luis Ortiz

The 23-year-old made the jump from Bradenton to Altoona this year, and while he got off to a good start, it’s been a bit of a struggle for the righty. Some of his struggles were highlighted by Tim Williams previously, and on top of his issues against lefties, control has also been a problem.

Ortiz has walked 14 batters in 23 innings so far this year, with four of them coming on Tuesday. In his latest start, Ortiz pitched 4 2/3 innings, walking four, and striking out eight.

Jared Oliva

Castro wasn’t the only one to come up with a big hit for the Indians, as Jared Oliva joined in as well. The 26-year-old belted his first home run of the season in grand style. The outfielder has played in 15 games this year and has batted .250 with a total of five extra-base hits.
