Game Recap:

Indianapolis dropped its opener, 4-1, to Omaha.  The Indians did themselves in by going 0-for-10 with runners in scoring position.  The only run came on a Cal Mitchell home run.  Cody Bolton got back in action after a two-year absence and things went fine.  He came out after 48 pitches and two and two-thirds scoreless innings.  Osvaldo Bido fanned five in two and a third — Indy pitchers punched out 14 — but he gave up two runs.  John O’Reilly gave up the other two on a longball by the legendary JaCoby Jones.  Cristofer Melendez, who’s worth keeping an eye on, struck out the side on ten pitches in his first inning, then got two outs in the next inning before needing a hand.  Travis Swaggerty made his return to action, going 1-for-5 as the DH.  Recently outrighted Jared Oliva had a rough day, going 0-for-4 with three strikeouts.  Indy had seven hits, all singles except for Mitchell’s blast.  Mason Martin and Canaan Smith-Njigba each had two hits.
