Ji-Hwan Bae
Going into Wednesday, Ji-Hwan Bae had not collected a hit in five straight games, going a combined 0-for-18. He got a hit that night, and then five more on Friday, going 5-for-6 against the Iowa Cubs.

With two doubles and a home run, Bae doubled the amount of extra-base hits he had on the season and his now batting .270 with Indianapolis. Speed is his greatest asset, and he put it on display with two infield hits.
Matt Gorski
Starting the season with Greensboro again, Matt Gorski is starting to show it was more due to a crowded outfield in the system than to his talent. He’s cut his strikeout rate down by 10% from last year and currently leads the Grasshoppers in home runs, RBIs and stolen bases.

He tied the game up here in the third with a RBI single, later hitting a home run to right center as a part of a back-to-back with Henry Davis.

Henry Davis
Speaking of Davis, he hit a three-run bomb to give the Grasshoppers the lead at the time. Davis is looking every bit of a guy who was taken first overall and his quickly showing he’s ready to advance beyond High-A.

Another first round pick made by Ben Cherington, along with Davis, Gonzales hasn’t exactly performed liked you hope this year, batting just .182 and striking out 35.2% of the time he steps to the plate. He did hit a home run his first plate appearance, originally giving the Altoona Curve the lead.
