Pirates Exhibition Schedule is Set; Live Game Feed on Monday Night

Published:

We have heard rumors the last two days about the Pittsburgh Pirates and Cleveland Indians playing three exhibition games before the 2020 regular season starts next Friday. MLB allowed teams to schedule up to three exhibition games during Spring Training 2.0 this month. The Pirates confirmed those rumors today and announced that all three games will be on AT&T SportsNet, 93.7 The Fan, and Pirates Radio Network. Here’s the schedule:

Saturday, 7/18: Indians at Pirates, 7:05 PM

Monday, 7/20: Pirates at Indians, 7:05 PM

Wednesday, 7/22: Indians at Pirates, 7:05 PM

The regular season for the Pirates then opens up on Friday in St Louis.

** A power outage pushed back, then canceled First Pitch for this morning, so for the people who come for the extras, here they are below. If the Pirates play an intrasquad exhibition game at PNC Park today and it’s live on Facebook, I’ll add the link here and change the title so you know something new was added. They have done it the last three days on short notice, so it could happen today as well.

Here are the lineups for tonight’s Pirates vs Pirates game at PNC Park

John started working at Pirates Prospects in 2009, but his connection to the Pittsburgh Pirates started exactly 100 years earlier when Dots Miller debuted for the 1909 World Series champions. John was born in Kearny, NJ, two blocks from the house where Dots Miller grew up. From that hometown hero connection came a love of Pirates history, as well as the sport of baseball. When he didn't make it as a lefty pitcher with an 80+ MPH fastball and a slider that needed work, John turned to covering the game, eventually focusing in on the prospects side, where his interest was pushed by the big league team being below .500 for so long. John has covered the minors in some form since the 2002 season, and leads the draft and international coverage on Pirates Prospects. He writes daily on Pittsburgh Baseball History, when he's not covering the entire system daily throughout the entire year on Pirates Prospects.
