Deal is Done, Players Agree to Report to Camps by July 1st for 60-Game Season

According to various sources, the Major League Baseball Players Association has agreed to report to training camps by July 1st and play a 60-game season over a 66-day time frame.

The final holdup to the deal being complete has to do with the health and safety protocols. Talks are still going on, but the deal may not be completed tonight according to Jon Heyman.

If things are finalized tonight, we will post an update.

John started working at Pirates Prospects in 2009, but his connection to the Pittsburgh Pirates started exactly 100 years earlier when Dots Miller debuted for the 1909 World Series champions.
