In Australia on Sunday, Robbie Glendinning wrapped up and unusually tough week with a 1-for-5 night. He started games at third base, second base and shortstop during the week. Glendinning is hitting .315/.388/.528 in 28 games.
In game three of the playoffs in Puerto Rico, Chris Sharpe (pictured above) went 1-for-3 with a single. He went 1-for-8 with two walks over the first two games.
In the Dominican on Sunday, Socrates Brito went 1-for-4 with a single, walk, RBI and run scored.
On Monday, Brito went 0-for-3 in his team’s 6-0 loss. His club had just two hits (both singles), no walks and one hit batter. He is 10-for-45 (.222) with a double, homer and seven RBIs in 11 playoff games.
In Mexico on Monday, Randy Romero was used as a pinch-runner and he scored a run. His only other playoff appearance (through four games) was also as a pinch-runner and he scored a run that game as well. The only difference is that he played an inning in right field in game one and didn’t play defense last night.
