Minor Moves: Ke’Bryan Hayes and Pablo Reyes Placed on Injured List

Published:

The Indianapolis Indians announced that both third baseman Ke’Bryan Hayes and IF/OF Pablo Reyes have been placed on the 7-day injured list today.

Hayes was injured two days ago on a diving play to his left in the ninth inning. He rolled over his glove and dislocated his left index finger. Hayes is hitting .241/.333/.388 in 58 games, with 20 doubles and eight stolen bases in nine attempts.

Reyes was hurt the next day on a play in the outfield in the first inning. He is sidelined with a left hamstring strain. Reyes is hitting .257/.296/.495 in 31 games since being sent down to Triple-A back on May 4th.

No word yet on the possible return time for either player.

We mentioned earlier that Robbie Glendinning was promoted to Altoona. He is filling the roster spot left open by Logan Hill, who has been promoted to Indianapolis to help fill in with the injuries. The 26-year-old Hill is hitting .284/.361/.447 in his third season with the Curve. He ranks second in the Eastern League with 19 doubles. He has played some first base this season, as well as both corner outfield spots.

When he didn't make it as a lefty pitcher with an 80+ MPH fastball and a slider that needed work, John turned to covering the game, eventually focusing in on the prospects side, where his interest was pushed by the big league team being below .500 for so long.
