The Pittsburgh Pirates announced via Twitter that right-handed pitcher Chris Archer left tonight’s start against the Milwaukee Brewers early as a precaution due to left hip discomfort. Archer allowed two runs in the first inning, then followed up with three shutout innings. He was replaced by Richard Rodriguez to start the fifth inning. He threw 67 pitches tonight. If there’s any added update tonight, we will post it here.
