The Pittsburgh Pirates have voided the contract of right-handed pitcher Roberto Gomez, the team announced today. The decision was made due to concerns that arose from his physical.
Gomez was signed to a minor league deal with an invite to MLB Spring Training. We had him with an outside chance to make the bullpen, although that would have required a strong performance, or a few injuries from other top contenders for the final bullpen spots.
