I was on Stan Savran’s show this morning, discussing the day one picks for the Pittsburgh Pirates. We discussed what the Pirates saw in Kevin Newman, Ke’Bryan Hayes, and Kevin Kramer, and I noted that each has the same trend — good hitting, good plate approach, a chance to stick at a premium defensive position, and gap power that could increase going forward. We also touched on what the pick of Newman means for Cole Tucker, and why guys like Daz Cameron fell due to the new draft system. The segment can be heard below.
Be sure to check back throughout the day (and subscribe if you haven’t) for all of our analysis on the day two picks.
