I was on Stan Savran’s show this morning, discussing the day one picks for the Pittsburgh Pirates. We discussed what the Pirates saw in Kevin Newman, Ke’Bryan Hayes, and Kevin Kramer, and I noted that each has the same trend — good hitting, good plate approach, a chance to stick at a premium defensive position, and gap power that could increase going forward.
