Minor Moves: Clario Perez to Altoona, Junior Lopez to Bradenton

Published:

There were several minor league transactions today, following the transactions between Indianapolis and Pittsburgh. The Bradenton Marauders have made a few moves to get things started, along with the fallout from the Indianapolis promotions.

**Kawika Emsley-Pai has retired. He was a strong defensive catcher, but never really got a shot with the Pirates above A-ball.

**Wes Freeman has been activated from the disabled list. Freeman was originally drafted out of high school in 2008, retired for a few years, and is giving baseball another shot this year. He had some of the best raw power in the system in his first run through pro ball, but horrible strikeout rates.

**Clario Perez has been promoted to Altoona. He was outstanding in relief with the Marauders this year, featuring a nice low-to-mid 90s fastball.

**Junior Lopez has been promoted from West Virginia. Lopez is another high velocity guy.

**Hunter Morris has been activated from the disabled list in Indianapolis.

**Dovydas Neverauskas was activated off the disabled list in West Virginia.

I wouldn’t be surprised if a few more moves are announced today.
