Tyler Glasnow Placed on Disabled List With Ankle Injury

Top prospect Tyler Glasnow has been placed on the disabled list with a right ankle sprain. Glasnow originally hurt his ankle on May 6th sliding into second base. He left the game that night after going back out to the mound for his warm-up throws between innings. Glasnow returned to action on Sunday and had a rough day with poor control and slightly lower velocity. He gave up five earned runs over 3.2 innings. No word on how much time he will miss, but he can’t return to action until next Monday at the earliest. It sounds like he will miss more time though.

Take your time Tyler. No rush.

Taillon, Kingham now Glasnow…..
3 top pitching prospects down.

Eric S

Taillon is working his way back and Glasnow shouldnt be a season long thing. Kingham could be out a while. To me, the lack of depth in the high minors could have the team seeking a trade to bolster the rotation. Of course, the way they are playing, it may not matter for this season.

75% of the season left to go Eric.

I wouldn’t say that as a good thing right now Foo- Hope springs eternal, but Eric has a good point. We know we can play better, but potential and results are two different things.
