The Pittsburgh Pirates have placed left-handed pitcher Antonio Bastardo on the Paternity List and have recalled Bobby LaFromboise from Indianapolis. No word on how long Bastardo will be out. LaFromboise currently has a 4.73 ERA in 13.1 innings with Indianapolis, along with a 14:6 K/BB ratio. In terms of left-handed options, he’s the best guy for a short-term call up, since he’s on the 40-man roster, and there aren’t a lot of left-handed options in Indianapolis.
